Ford India has recently launched its all new Ford Figo built on the company's latest global platform, at an introductory offer of Rs 4.38 lakh (ex-showroom) here.
From our initial look we feel it is an outstanding value for money package, the new Ford Figo is smartly built to attract Indian market where people don't want to compromise on looks, practicality, cutting-edge technology, safety and above all, outstanding fuel efficiency.
The base modification of the Ford Figo gets driver airbags as regular while other variants offer dual front airbags, which means a total number of six airbags on the top-end trim. ABS, EBD, ESP, automatic climate control and electrically adjustable side mirrors are some of the other features.
Like most previous hatchback and sub-compact siblings, the new-gen Ford Figo and Figo Aspire also look similar from the front. The new Figo presents the same trapezoidal grille with four horizontal slats and the same set of sweptback head-lamps. The new Figo hatchback comes with two petrol and a diesel engine, a 1.2-liter producing 88 PS and 112 Nm and paired to a 5-speed manual, and a 1.5-liter generating 112 PS and 136 Nm mated exclusively to the 6-speed Powershift automatic gearbox, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 100 PS and 215 Nm delivering power through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
